Shipping & Returns
Below are some common questions about shipping, returns, and exchanges
What kind of vinyl records does Top Copy Records sell?
Top Copy Records specializes in premium vinyl records, including new releases, limited editions, audiophile pressings, reissues, and carefully curated pre-owned titles. Our focus is on top-tier sound quality and collectible value for every record we stock.
Are your records new or used?
We offer both new (sealed) and pre-owned records. Each product page clearly indicates whether the item is new or used, along with pressing details and any special features (such as colored vinyl, numbered editions, or deluxe packaging).
How do you grade the condition of your records?
Top Copy Records uses a standard industry grading scale (Mint, Near Mint, Very Good+, Very Good, Good). Each record and sleeve is visually inspected, and many titles are play-tested when needed to ensure accuracy. Detailed condition notes are provided on each listing so you know exactly what you’re getting.
How are records packaged for shipping?
We take shipping seriously. All orders are packed in premium record mailers—such as Mighty Mailers or Whiplash mailers—with added padding and corner protection. For unsealed records, we typically ship the vinyl outside of the jacket (inside a protective inner sleeve) to help prevent seam splits during transit.
Do you offer international shipping?
Yes, Top Copy Records ships to many countries worldwide. Shipping options and rates are calculated at checkout based on your location, order weight, and preferred service.
How long will it take to receive my order?
Most orders are processed and shipped within 1–2 business days. Delivery times depend on your location and the shipping method selected at checkout. Once your order ships, you’ll receive tracking information so you can follow your package.
What payment methods do you accept?
Top Copy Records accepts major credit and debit cards, along with popular digital payment options (such as PayPal, Apple Pay, or Shop Pay, depending on availability in your region). All payments are processed securely.
Can I return or exchange a record?
If your record arrives damaged, defective, or significantly different from the description, please contact us within our stated return window (typically 7–14 days from delivery) with your order number, photos, and a brief description of the issue. We’ll work with you to arrange a replacement, refund, or store credit where possible.
Please note: Because vinyl is a media format, returns due to a change of mind or minor cosmetic flaws may be limited.
What if my record is warped or has pressing issues?
Manufacturing defects like warps, off-center pressings, or excessive surface noise can occur on some pressings. If you experience a serious issue, reach out to Top Copy Records with your order number, a description, and photos or a short video. We’ll review the situation and offer a fair solution based on the condition and availability of replacement stock.
Do you offer pre-orders?
Yes. Top Copy Records frequently offers pre-orders for upcoming releases and special editions. Pre-order titles are clearly labeled, and estimated release or shipping dates are listed on the product page. Your order will ship as soon as the record arrives at our facility.
Can I combine shipping on multiple orders?
If you’ve placed multiple orders and they haven’t shipped yet, contact us as soon as possible with your order numbers. If we’re able to combine them into one shipment, we’ll do so and adjust shipping charges accordingly.
How can I care for and maintain my records?
To keep your Top Copy Records vinyl sounding its best, we recommend:
- Handling records by the edges or label
- Storing them vertically in a cool, dry place
- Using quality inner and outer sleeves for protection
- Regularly cleaning records with a proper brush or cleaning system
- Good care helps reduce surface noise and extends the life of both your records and your stylus.
